Does any one want to do our portrait?

Postby surenj on Fri Apr 13, 2007 5:35 pm

I was just wondering whether any aspiring portraitist is keen to photograph an outdoor portrait of me and my wife at some time? (preferably weekend)

I am keen for a relaxed romantic type of portrait but open to your ideas as well! Of course you will retain the copyright etc and let me know whether you are happy for me to have a favourite photo from the shoot.

Just throwing this in the air to see what interest it generates...

Thanks in advance..

We could make this a mini-meet type thing? You guys could be the subjects, I'd say a max of 5 photogs? Thoughts?

Alright, we have to get the 'ok' from Surenj first.
Logistics will be interesting, time/date/venue etc.
I'd like to intially suggest Observatory Hill, easy enough for everyone to get to. I'd also like to suggest from about 3:30pm on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon.

If Surenj says 'yes' to the group shoot then we have onboard so far:

Geoff
Kyle
Jeff
Matt.K
Paul
(0 more spots sorry ppl)

We will now try and sort out a date - this could be erm...interesting :)

** Pending Surenj's approval of course.

If date is suitable I'll be in. Sounds like fun!

Goodness me!! Thanks for your replies.... I didn't realise there would be this much a response...

I have never had 5 photographers taking photos of me at the same time! Not even at my wedding! I will of course have to ask my better half and confirm.

I will let you guys know. Will be after 30th April since I am away until then. I won't get your hopes up (for 5 people) until I get the confirmation from the better half....

Thanks again for this overwhelming response!!

damn i missed this, id like to come and take a peak though, be good to see how 5 photogs can work on one couple, you sure obs hill is a good spot, i would have though maybe somewhere a little more secluded, ie centennial park, easy parking too.

I would perhaps be a tad wary of Obs Hill on a weekend as well. Parking could be problematic, especially if there's any events on in the city over the chosen weekend.

I think this would be interesting. With 5 photographers there which camera do you look at?

Sorry guys

Postby surenj on Mon Apr 30, 2007 11:21 pm

I have been unsuccessful in my attempts to convince my wife about the mini meet thing perhaps because she doesn't even like ME taking photos of her...

Sorry to burst your bubble. Maybe different place, different time and different subjects...
