So who's coming to the Melbourne Dinner Meet on Lygon St. this Friday?

Reply back if you are... we're just looking for numbers here.

Also, the winners for the Challenge will be announced at the dinner.

Late breaking news.....

One Metre Pizza appears to be kaput. The phone number now belongs to a confused asian gentleman (the confusion arising entirely from my phone call).

Stand by for further developments......

Gary, I'll speak to you in the morning - PM me your phone number

Sounds like when we tried to call up La Trattoria in Rathdown. No answer, later to find out they've moved.

Would be good for businesses if the occupier has changed hands that a message comes up in the first 5 rings to state that they've moved. This message lasts for say 1-3months.

Plan B might be to go with the other place accross the road from where they were ... I think Kipper or Redline mentioned it a while ago when we originally planned this back in November.

Biggish place, and been there for .... ages ...

We probably need to book. Gary, I'll give you a call this morning

I am attempting to secure a booking at Totos.

Mama at 9:30 was unable to assist, suggested I call back one hour.

The gentleman at 11:00 was unable to assist, suggested I call back after 2pm and talk to Serge who handles all such matters.

I have diarised accordingly and will post the results right here.

Stay tuned.......

Friday night is looking to be the first time I will have eaten solid food ( other than a muffin at Werribee ) in what'll be a week, so I don't care what we eat, or where as long as it is cooked to the point that no germs will attack me again...

Wherever we end up we should probably provide a map to the nearest parking area as well ( don't know how parking is up that end of the city ).. whereis.com.au should be a great help :)

Dean,

You can park on the streets, usually within a block or so of Lygon. There's a street directly opposite the park that usually has spaces.

And we could all front up to Vanbar before dinner, each asking to play with a D2X. :)

I doubt it too.

But wouldn't be cool if 15 or so people rock in, just befpre closing time, and all ask to see a D2x?

And who says that I'm warped?
