Cafe exhibition

Postby DaveB on Tue Oct 06, 2009 10:02 am

Yesterday Jane and I drove out to Trentham (west of Woodend) to hang a small exhibition (9 framed prints) at Red Beard Historic Bakery. They'll be up until the end of November.

Image

As you might be able to see, they're not from exotic locations like Africa or Antarctica. They're all Australian plant or animal images.

Another shot from yesterday inside the bakery itself:

Congrats Dave. Looks like good sized prints.

Were you not allowed to stagger on the wall?

Cool. I hope you sell a few, if that is your intention. :)

RSA laws came into play, and he needed to drive home :)

Dave,

Good luck with this exhibition. I know the images will be great, so I merely hope that this achieves the goals that you've set for it.

Congrats Dave! I'd go and have a sticky beak but I am not in the right state.

Thanks folks. Actually my expectations for this exhibition are fairly simple. If I make any sales that will be a bonus. The opportunity for this exhibition only came to light about a week ago! The bakery had an exhibition running as part of the Ballarat Foto Biennale, which finished last weekend and they wanted something to replace it.
It also raises my profile and keeps my name out there (e.g. there's a laminated sheet on the wall with info about workshops/etc).

I may tweak the hanging in a while, but they're a motley assortment of frame sizes so this was in fact the neatest arrangement we could come up with at the time.

If you've been reading my recent post about Norway you might realise that this exhibition actually finishes while I'm the the far North. My lovely wife gets to deal with taking the exhibition down at the end of November. 8)
