you better get your self a powerful PC to look at those pics. I definitely don't have a ferrari but a 16mb nef certainly chokes the system up.

From what i can see the quality looks sensational and that Canon has a true equal at the top of the line.

Here you go with 16Mb NEF open in NC 4xxx

- Dual Opteron 250 or Dual Xeon Nocona 3.6GHz
- Tyan Thunder K8W (or new K8WE) or Thunder i7525
- 2 or 4GB of RAM
- 4 SATA HDD with RAID 1 for data, the other two for scratch and system
- 128 or 256MB Graphic card .

My PCs (4) are with Intel 3.2Ghz/ 3.4Ghz CPU/ 2Gb RAM and heaps of SATA disk WD 10K RPM, they're still flying thru, still up to date when I have the D2x arrived.

Problems will be sending 16mb files over the wireless G 54mbps with multiple shots to the portable ASUS wireless Hdd and upload them to my server via an internet connection.

I'm counting down to the date!
Yesterday, at the mini meet, all of the attended members have seen and touched all my new toys:
- ASUS portable wireless Hdd (g) with 80Gb/ 5400rpm.
- ASUS portable router with 4 ports switch wireless (g)
- 24dbi directional antenna.
- On ordering the 24dbi Omni-directional antenna with car roof/ gutter mount.

I'll be on mobile when my setup completed :D :D

:) And try to test in airborne mode with a rotary aircraft :D

All these can run on car battery with converter to 5V/ 2A.
I tested with my D2h and WT-1 (b), It worked like a champ!, 4Mb file (NEF)of the D2h is nothing, it was slow if I distance the camera to the base more than 60m, and terribly slow when I move further to 100m, all are within the line of eyesight. hopefully the WT-2 will be lot faster with (g).
