Birddog,

Birddog114 wrote:Hi All,

Just find out I can do something for members same as last October 04 meet at my base.

I'll have some very special prices of bargaining items for members who's going to the Picnic day tomorrow, and these items will be available in limited of quantities (No rain check) first come first serve and only for tomorrow only.

They're all less than my cost.

Cash only.

It may then pay me to fly from Adelaide to Sydney and return to attend the Picnic and also participate in some goodies as well (with cash in hand) :!: .

Cheers,
fozzie

When people ask what equipment I use - I tell them my eyes.

Remember; I ordered a sunny day for this event way back when it was first proposed. I've seen no correspondence that's suggested that my order has been cancelled, and there's no way that it's stuck in Customs or the Post Offiice, so it's looking good, y'all.

Yep... weather looking good so expect I'll be there !!! Not sure yet about Katherine... she may elect to do other things with her weekend. Will have to reread the postings to remind myself exactly where and when we are meeting... or are we going to just wing it???

I have been trying hard to blackmail Belle into coming but none of my attempts have been successful, she making a big move to Sydney this weekend so i guess thats a good enough excuse.

OK - anyone need a lift in the morning? I still have an empty car (well - other than me!).

Anyone from the Hurstville/St George/Botany area PM me if you want a lift.

By the way, I've tried going through all the messages on this one - can someone please post definitive directions on where and when we are meeting.

Heading North on Pacific Hwy turn right at Bobbin Head road, Turramurra, pass the entrance of National Park and one way go thru down the hill, at the end of the hill you'll see our D70Users.com banner in yellow and blue at the meeting point

To everyone attending tomorrow's event have a great day. I hope the weather is fine for some great pics.

Wished I could be there to meet everyone, and I would have been armed with some gutsy SA red wine :( .

Anyway August 5 is not all that far away :D .

Goodbye for now,

fozzie,
I'm sure we will all have fun today! and the D70Users has regular meet nearly every week now in Sydney, the first forum with regular meets and talk so far I have seen, whether indoor or outdoor, we have a lot of things to talk, play, joke, enjoy and happy at the end of the day.
Those are excellent parts of this community, showing the friendship in between members, sharing the knowledges, comraderies and thanks all for the contributors and supporters.

A great day out!!!

It was good to meet a few more members... and as usual I learnt a few things... Thanks to all who contributed...

Thanks to Birddog for bringing all that equipment (and taking all my cash  )... I'm sure that I'll enjoy my new acquisitions...

Here's a few of my pics from the event...

Most (if not all) pictures were taken with my new Sigma 70-300...
