Wedding Photographer plug - jdear

Postby Mr Darcy on Sun Sep 28, 2008 11:32 pm

My daughter just got married.

One of the members of this forum did the photography, and I must say I was very impressed with his professionalism.
I saw him using "Nanna"'s camera for her at one point, and at another showing the groom some of the tricks of the trade. A lot different from one of the early contenders who banned other photographers (including Grannies!) from shooting at all.
Bride & Groom were both very relaxed with him.

He is Jonathan Dear (jdear here). He is based in Wollongong, but is prepared to travel. He often does shoots in Sydney and, hell, my daughter got married in Wanaka New Zealand. His Web site is http://www.vibrantphotography.com.au/

Now I haven't seen his photography for this wedding yet, but based on his other shoots, it should be fantastic.

If you are looking for a wedding tog, he should be at the top of your short list.

I believe that we enjoyed some active discussion about that several months ago.

I'm glad that your daughter chose to go with Jonathan, and I'm glad that he did such a great job for you and your family.

Jonno: did you remember to put some filum in your camera? :)

I will be posting a few of mine. It was a DSLRUsers minimeet after all. (Four members were present :) )

Pam came down with the flu the day we got back :( , which is why she didn't enter the Weekender Comp,

but as soon as we go through them I will post a few Wedding pics, and some of the greater holiday.
They will be holiday snaps though, not intended for great photography. Leila hired Jonathon. Why should I bark?
