Hi
I am going to buy myself a Christmas present because I have been a good boy (?)
Lexar Professional UDMA CompactFlash 600X - 8GB (90MB/Sec) advertised for $138 by Cheap chips.
Is this a good price and are they a reliable company, they are based in Queensland .
Any comments gratefully accepted.

Jeff

I use them a fair bit, very fast, very reliable mate.

As for the card though, can I ask why? Does the D700 write that fast anyways?

I have a couple of 8GB cards, but far more prefer the smaller 2GB cards in case of failure. I know several shooters in out chosen field who still use 512MB cards for that reason also.

Thanks mate
I shoot mainly RAW so the 8gb card is a good size for up to a days shoot. I also find that the buffer in the camera sometimes slows the shots per second ,so I figure a faster write card will assist the buffer.
Are you shooting Homebush and are you in need of the Terrey Hills motel ?

It helps on the download if you have a fast enough reader!
