Challenge 14: ONE week to go!

Postby MHD on Sun Mar 18, 2007 9:00 am

Happy Easter

Please keep safe and well over this holiday break. Eat lots of chocolate: it's good for you.

ONE week to go in Challenge 14!
Go to http://www.potofgrass.com/gallery/c14 and submit today!
Remember you can put in a place holder entry and change it later.

I hear many people saying they didn't enter previous competitions as they felt their images were below what they believed the standards of the entries would be.. Entering these challenges give you the chance to do just that, challenge your self and over time improve. So we would like to see lots of entries to this latest challenge!

AgricultureIt's all around us, in some way. The challenge is to photograph something that reflects agriculture. This may include animals or implements used in agriculture, even perhaps the products of agriculture.

Images Valid: Right now
Galley Closes and Voting starts: 16th April
Voting: closes 23 April

Housekeeping

I've been doing some tinkering under the hood this morning. If you see anything unusual r something not working properly - apart from the occassional server error that we see - please let me know.

What I'm working on is a way to try try to reduce those server errors.

Let me echo Scott's words here. This is a "challenge", and the idea is that you learn and extend your photographic skills.

So, read and understand the rules, go forth and shoot something agricultural, and submit your image.

I’m waiting for approval from North Sydney Council to have a herd of bullocks on Military Road, but they keep saying bollocks and I keep saying, no - bullocks. . .

It's actually Lane Cove Council that you need to talk with; it'll all happen from this Sunday with a whole new set of road bollocks in place. :)

I think with Mosman's new rules, someone should get a shot of a smoking cow.

I guess everyone has bought their easter show tickets or booked their weekend away so that they can get the shots for the challenge by now!

Not long to go until this one closes. How many entries now?

And judging by the Princes Highway here in Nowra becoming a car-park, I'd say half of Sydney is heading south for Easter. :(

RE: Server
I have been having a few of those "500 - Internal Server Error" messages once in a while. Or the site stop responding for a while and then get this error.
