Saturday 6 December 2008 - DSLRUsers MELBOURNE Christmas BBQ
This year's Christmas get together for Melbourne members.

Saturday 13 December 2008, 2 pm- DSLRUsers SYDNEY Christmas BBQ at Sheepie's
This year our Christmas get together (and prize giving for the above challenge - DSLRUsers Final 2008 Challenge) is at Sheepie's (Leon and Manda) and more detalis are available here.

Regular 2x2 Photo Meets

We'll now be having a scheduled Sydney photo meet on the second Saturday of every second month (the even numbered ones) with the first being on Saturday 11 October. These 2x2 photo meets will happen unless the weather is truly terrible (cyclone warning or tsunami for example  ).

We've drawn up a list of future things to do and places to go (see below) and these will be progressively added to the calendar of 2x2 events. We'll also be having our Sydney Christmas get together as a 2x2 photo meet and picnic instead of a dinner this year so you can bring your family. Care to guess what date? Yep the second Saturday in December which is 13th. So pencil that in your diaries as well. All are welcome at these events.

The first 2009 2x2 Photo meet will be on Saturday 7 February 2009, followed by one on Saturday 11 April 2009

Planned 2x2 meet locations: North Head Quarantine station, Symbio WiIdlife Park and Sea Cliff bridge, Chowder Bay, Manly to Spit walk, Sydney Harbour Circle walks (several still to do), Blue Mountains, etc

Peter actually means the "pre-second", in keeping with the 2x2 theme for these events. :)

Great idea!

Any chance of making some of the meets on a Sunday for those of us who play sport on a Saturday?

In all this even-ness (keep it in the middle lads ;)), there's something 'odd' - my calendar tells me the second Saturday in December is the 13th :?: :?

Thanks Leon you are correct. I stuffed up every single date by putting the Sunday's date when it should have been the Saturday. Now fixed.

This is EXCELLENT!
Now..all you budding (and fantastic/well established photogs) don't just sit there...put these dates in your diaries/calendars/iphones and come along - they are usually lots of fun!
