POTW 7-SEP-2016

Each week, one of the moderators or administrators selects an image that, for whatever reason, catches their eye. Please feel free to add your comments here. Vigorous discussion of the images and techniques is welcome and encouraged. Criticism of any mod for their choice is not. Please note that this is "Picture of the Week"; do not confuse that with "best picture of the week", which is a concept of which we have no understanding.

POTW 7-SEP-2016

This wonderful image by ozimax is our standout for the week. It is a classic image so reminiscent of the 1950s and this should be a poster that anyone could buy from a fine art shop. This is pure eye candy and well done ozi. You go from strength to strength!

Apart from the subject matter here, I love Ozi's treatment. It's HDR, but he's not overdone it.

Great choice, and a wonderful image

Thanks Matt and Gary. Tuesday was such a magnificent day that any old blighter with a Box Brownie (or a pinhole camera) would have taken a masterpiece.

Today is Thursday and I am watching the snow fall in Queenstown. Unfortunately my skiing days are done and dusted (pardon the pun) because of dicky knees.
