VE Day 60th Anniversary celebrations

Hi All,

The Australian War Memorial will be holding a open day this Saturday the 7th of May to celebrate the 60th anniversary of Victory Europe day (end of WW2).

In a nutshell, there will be:

* Tours of the AWM
* Military bands playing
* Red Berets doing a parachute show
* A fly past including: (Starts at about 1pm)
C47
Catalina Flying Boat
C130 Hercules
A few Hardvards flying in formation
P51 Mustang
Canberra Bomber
RAAF Roulette's Display
Iroquois and Kiowa helicopter flyin (maybe several of them)
Quite possibly more

We also celebrate VE day at Belmore with:
- D2x on show
- D70s fly-ins
- 200-400VR Parade
and more, more to come with surprise.

P.S: we have all of the following in static display as well:

C47 (Spooky gunship)
C130 Hercules
P51 Mustang
Corsair F4-U
F18, F-14, F15, F4 Phantom, Harrier
RAAF Roulette
Iroquois helicopter, Cobra Gunship, Appache

hehe we're not allowed to have real jets here anymore, after the infamous f-111 dump and burn that canberran residents complained about

An excellent array of Aircraft Christian...

I'll try to employ my 30 year old aircraft id skills and try to get some captions for you...

I'm quite interested to know how you managed to make Smugmug come up in a slideshow format for that...

Thank you for your responses. BTW all photos were taken hand held.
All were taken hand held with the 70-200 mm VR.
Some were taken, also hand held, with the 70-200 mm VR + TC 17e.
No monopod or tripod involved.
