Looking for a dead F100

Postby Antsl on Thu Sep 02, 2010 5:31 pm

Hi all...
I am hoping someone might be able to help me... I am after a Nikon F100, preferably in a dead or unrepairable condition. The main requirements are that the covers are still ok and the battery holder has no visible corrosion. If anyone has one languishing in a corner somewhere that they do not want anymore it would be appreciated...
I need to do some devious things with it.
This camera is not for parts... it is to be rebirthed... those who know me know where this is heading.
I am happy to pay a token for it along with postage.
Thanks, Ants

The camera will be gutted and then a flash will be built into it... I have done something similar to an F301 a few years ago but it only uses AAA batteries... I am wanting to build the flash again but in a package that uses AA batteries. some members in Sydney have seen my original flash at a mini meet some time ago. It is a devious device but I really want to get it working properly.

I know of a few Ford F100 pickups in the San Bernadino area that might be of use....

Thanks for the offer of the F80... ideally I would prefer to get the batteries into the grip though... makes for a smaller package. As an option I am looking at Nikon F90X cameras on eBay. Fingers crossed.
