35mm f2 problems

Postby ljxphotography on Wed Sep 29, 2010 3:39 pm

Hi Guys, is anyone else having problems with purple fringing with this lens? Just trying to work out if its just my copy or a common problem.
Most evident when shooting backlit subjects.

Thanks

Seems like a problem with chromatic aberration, I've had somewhat noticeable amounts of it on my 35 1.8. What aperture were you using? I've found that it reduces and is virtually gone by f/2.8 to 3.2

I love the lens, I use it a lot for my wedding work. Checked, CA is gone on stopped down images. I am editing a wedding at the moment, and the CA was bugging me, I used it wide open a lot of images I shot at the wedding so it makes sense why im seeing it in so many images.
