Faulty 24-70

Postby darklightphotography on Mon Oct 11, 2010 9:30 pm

For a while now Ive been suspecting that my 24-70 is not right. It seems softer than my 50 1.8, and softer than my Sigma 70-200, and I'm sure it never used to be. It seems like the outer lens tube is loose, does anyone else have on they can check? It has a little side to side movement, and also some in-out movement that is worse at the wide end.

Guess it's off to Nikon :(

Mine moves about 0.25mm in and out and a little less than that side to side.
Can't check the picture quality as my D200 is visiting Nikon & I haven't worked out how to attach it to the LX5. Only just worked out how to get the SB800 to work.
