Coolpix 5700 problem

Hi all

I seem to have a problem with the wife's 5700.

It doesnt want to take photos. When I listen to the camera, it seems as though a motor is running all the time, and it doesnt seem to want to focus.

Any clues?

It may be something going wrong with the AF motor....it may be time to visit a technician...but with the age of the camera it may be more prudent to look at a replacement.
