Well as nikon rumors predicted some time ago, here is nikons newer to the x100s, a fixed lens apsc camera.

Only nikon would be silly enough to whack a 2.8 lens on and charge over $1k. Quite absurd really. Unfortunately, at first glance I think they missed the mark here yet again. But it is bloody small...$300 cheaper and I'd be moderately interested.

The p330 is also released with a slightly larger sensor but its still not a patch on the sony rx100. and the long awaited 80-400 replacement is also out.

Big news from nikon who will be praying fir major sales from these given their recent poor results.

I also have mixed feelings about the new releases....

The long awaited 80-400 is looking good, but the price seems to be pretty steep.....more expensive than the 70-200 2.8 in the US.
The P330 is looking pretty good with the reintroduction of NEF and a bigger sensor, it is priced to compete with the S-series Powershot and co, not the RX100, but it still has a slow lens (other than at wide angle).
The Coolpix A, if you take it for what it is, it sounds great, but as Rooz already said i cannot see any reason, other than to have RAW that you can edit easily, and if you must have a 28mm, why you would get this over the X100s

Nikon are losing the plot with their non SLR cameras. If they can't build a Fuji buster then they should leave that segment alone. And the price of the new 80-400mm...in their dreams. :!: :!: :!:
