According to news reports the Pentax and Hoya merger is in trouble.

I feel like I should care that the company that manufactured the camera body I use is going through this. And yet I would bet that none of the directors in either company are particularly interested in me as a user of their product right now, either.

It's a bit jarring that these people in their business suits somehow hold any influence over me... (I hate it when share swap ratios intrude on the hobby that I pursue!)
