Adam,

You are not alone on your complaints with Lightroom.

Here is my (almost completed) report on my experiences with Lightroom: Adobe Photoshop Lightroom.

While I am as frustrated as you appear to be, there are some features in Lightroom that I find useful. Even though my images tend to need more tweaking in Lightroom than they did with CaptureNX, the total work flow for each image is simpler, quicker and more automated.

I've found that the Nikon sw products just do a better job at colour rendition when going from a NEF. I just open them in Capture (I still only run 4) and then export them to PS.

I have to ask though, what is PTGUI ???
