Not quite my first image per say, as since getting my first dlsr a week ago I've taken hundreds of shots already - but today I noticed the self-timer wotsit on the side and so valiantly took my first self-portrait. Didn't even crack the lens, bonus! :o

Just wait 'til I get used to using Photoshop.. next shot you'll see of me, I'll look like a soopahmodel, mwahahhaargghhh!

Lol.. let's just say there was enough alcomahol to give me the Dutch courage to turn that lens around..! Because enough is all that you need, right?! :chook:

As for my "eye for Nikon", well since I usually do have the Nikon now permanently positioned in front of one eye it seemed only appropriate to substitute for the self-portrait.......!

I have always been from the school that taught "too much is not enough".

I would strongly suggest a nikon eye patch. Then you don't need to close one eye when you look through the viewfinder. Actually on a side note I have started a POLL asking exactly this....
