We're working with an expectation of about 40+ people being here for this event.

Most will, of course, be from Sydney.

Most will, of course, be from Sydney.

Or other areas within driving distance - eg Canberra, Newcastle & Wollongong

Add me to the list of shuttle-drivers, I'm only 10-15 mins from the airport. :)

My question, is everything set in stone for the Anniversary Weekend :?: .

If so, I do not have a problem flying out of Adelaide on 5th August @ 9:00am to Arrive Sydney 11:25am along with robw25 and Lorraine so we can be collected by Birddog114 at the sametime.

As I said with you last week, the AA is confirmed, details of venue or restaurants will be notified later. The main thing you have to book your flight. Anyway, when you're in Sydney, the Sydney members won't let you down and sure it's a great event among our interests.

Yes I took that information onboard, but I was uncertain whether the programme was going to start on the Friday morning, three (3) day event or just two (2) days. While I was in Sydney at Easter I missed a critical posts from Gary Stark re starting time.

I would like to come along to this. Any times finalised yet so I can start looking at cheaper air fares to get down to Sydney?

Nothing finalised as yet, but plan on a full weekend's activities, starting with a dinner on the Friday evening of August 5.

I'd be aiming to fly in no later than mid-afternoon on that date. Gives you time to settle in to your accommodation, and maybe get to Birddog's for the unofficial pre-dinner mini-meet that no doubt will happen..

Heading home - no earlier than Sunday, after 6, would be my best advice.

Ooooohhhhhhhhh MMMMmaaaaaaaaaannnnnnn............

I just chanced upon this. Now I gotta run it by the wife to see if I can interest her in a trip to Sydney.
Any chance of a sub-contest for non D70's eg Olympus C770?
Don't take that seriously...

This sounds like it could be a real benefit and a great chance to put a face to the names I see and communicate with.

I've still got loads of reading within the forum, geez I wish I had broadband.
