Planning an overseas trip?

Postby huynhie on Wed Mar 09, 2005 5:43 pm

Guys,

I'm in the process of planning an overseas trip and have found this site very helpful. I have been checking out travellers opinions on different hotel accomodations around Europe, as I can't trust what my travel agent has given to me. The prices quoted by the three online travel booking sites are also very attractive compared to the crap my agent is feeding me!

www.tripadvisor.com

This site is also brilliant

The following site is another great one. It will not only show you a map of destination A to B, it will also give you a turn by turn direction!

mappoint.com

Just don't use any other browser except for Internet explorer.

Au revoir

If you're still in the process of checking out things try...

http://www.euro-hotels.com I find it is sometimes cheaper than Expedia + some reviews.
http://www.biddingfortravel.com which gives you a guide on the lower prices that can be paid for 4 and 5* hotels through http://www.priceline.com.sg or http://www.priceline.com.hk . A friend snared a 4/5* hotel in Berlin for $50+ AUD in priceline recently so I am still sticking by priceline although it does help if you have time before you travel.

thanks for sharing your website tips will help with my own trip planning.

good luck
