Is the S1 a P&S ?

If it's the body I think it is, then probably not.

The S1 is P&S, Nikon starts with the small baby first.

Interesting tidbit I observed while browsing the Photo Imaging Expo's official website. The list of exhibitors included:

Canon Sales Company, Ltd,
Nikon Photo Products Inc and
Nikon Vision Company, Ltd.

Judge a book by its cover, judge a company's focus by its name...

So I imagine that playing out of the words you have there... Nikon's Vision is that Canon is a Sales company, speaking from a Ltd. view of course. ;)
