C12 Part 2 OPEN!

Postby MHD on Tue Oct 31, 2006 8:49 am

Gallery one is now closed... not many took advantage of the first submission... I hope this is not a sign for the comp because it would be disappointing...

You can view the part one images here:
http://www.potofgrass.com/gallery/c12_part1
Please refrain from making comments to specific images.

The submission gallery for part 2 is now open:
http://www.potofgrass.com/gallery/c12_part2

So GO FOR IT!

Some great entries there! Why refrain from commenting on specific images?

Ok, a fair point. By the same token though, displaying images in gallery 1 prior to close of gallery 2 will give ideas to other entrants for round 2.

EXACTLY!

This is by design, As both the part 1 and part 2 galleries will be left open to display as well as a combined gallery for voting it will be easy to tell who is the original though...

I think that the number os entries goes a way to show the particular complexities involved with this challenge.

I applaud those that have managed to get an idea and achieve it for the first gallery!! Let alone turn out a quality image!

Good work from those who have entered so far.

Some of these are excellent.

Let's hope we get many more entries in Round 2. :D

hello,
wondering if I can catch up on this? I have been too busy lately, managing 4 projects all at once...

Must my image be captured between some dates, or can I use a stock one, was captured on 23 Sep, does this qualify?

Secondly, can I use my challenge 10 login details?

thanks

Four entries now in!

PLEASE NOTE: Tomorrow is the last day for spot checks... So if you have a concept that may be on the edge of the theme and what to ensure it's validity submit it tomorrow and PM me asking for a spot check...

And: When asking for a spot check please be specific... ie dont say "is this image ok?" say: "I would like a spot check on this image"

Just a refresher: A spot check means that the image will be displayed to the moderators and admins who then decide if the image fits in with the theme of the competition.

If a clear majority vote no the image can not be submitted. If not the image is valid and can not be disqualified for theme violations once the entries are revealed...

So in summary, with reguards to spot checks:
PROS: You will know if you have a valid image, if your image is not valid you can always submit another one. This is a way of ensuring you have an entry.
CONS: You actually have to be organised as Spot checks cut of the friday before the gallery closes. And a small group of people (namely mods and admins) get to see your image before the others (but they are a trust worthy group!)

In which case Mods and Admin should not vote in the galleries
