Please note that this is not an area for you to showcase your images, nor is this a place for you to show-off where you have been. This is an area for you to post images so that you may share with us a technique that you have mastered, or are trying to master. Typically, no more than about four images should be posted in any one post or thread, and the maximum size of any side of any image should not exceed 950 px.

Please note that image critiquing is a matter of give and take: if you post images for critique, and you then expect to receive criticism, then it is also reasonable, fair and appropriate that, in return, you post your critique of the images of other members here as a matter of courtesy. Also please note that, unless you state something to the contrary, other members might attempt to repost your image with their own post processing applied. We see this as an acceptable form of critique, but should you prefer that others not modify your work, this is perfectly ok, and you should state this, either within your post, or within your signature.

Images posted here should conform with the general forum guidelines. Image sizes should not exceed 950 pixels along the largest side (height or width) and typically no more than four images per post or thread.

Please also ensure that you have a meaningful location included in your profile. Please refer to the FAQ for details of what "meaningful" is.

Cracker shots both here and in the linked gallery. I'm assuming Lorraine let you buy a water housing for one of your cameras. Very understanding lady.

Great shots, particularly the first one.

I assume some waterproof enclosure was involved...?

WOW Rob, great shots mate and i am not sure which i like the best as #2 is a beauty, but both great shot mate, watch out for them sharks.LOL as they would have plenty to chew on.LOL

My personal preference is #1. Close-up to the action, colours, it has everything.

Question - how did the guy miss you :?: :lol: :lol: :lol:

When you come to Adelaide in February, I would be keen to link up and have a look at the ewa-marine bag.

fozzie i asked them to get as close as they could and i near shit myself at times cause it looks like i'm gunna die ( looking through the lens ) i have only been out twice with them with the underwater bag so i hope to improve on my panning as they flash by, they are rapped in the photo's which makes me feel good as well.

Now fozzie and me wanna borrow it so we can test it at Glenelg LOL.
How big do they make them, can i fit a 300m in one cos we might need it.

the d2x,d70,and d200 fit in it but i can only use the 12-24,85 1.4 and the 28-70 ( which i havent used yet ) theres a 200mm limit in the length

yep they all loved that one and theres a couple of girls learning to kite and one said she cant wait to see some of her when she gets a bit better, well i cant wait either !

How do you manage to stay afloat carrying the camera? I'm sure I would have drowned getting shots like those.

Great shots Rob,

How do you go about removing water from the front of the lens ( outside the bag ) without leaving smear marks on it while your in the water? Surely your hands are wet also.

it's only 1metre deep !!!!

i do have a problem keeping the lens clear i lost a lot of shots when there's water on the lens distorting the subject so maybe have to look into a method of kepping it clear

I have heard that a slice of potato on the perspex is good to keep water off. I have not tried it though. It looks like the Ewa bags have improved as I dont think I would put a good camera in one of the old ones I saw many years ago, obviously they have improved. Great photos
