Re: New Nikon 70-200 VRIIAny more news on this lens? I was reading this where it talks of a seemingly widespread problem with the lens.

Where's the best place to buy one? Gary can you get it yet? Or because it's new, could it be better to wait the 6 months (or more) it seems to take for Nikon to supply Australia to the point that retailers don't charge such a premium for the unobtainium element. It's not a need as such, but the most reach I have at the moment is my 24-70 2.8, unless you count the 105 macro. Share what you know, learn what you don't.

 Re: New Nikon 70-200 VRII
I have one sitting on the shelf here at work, and I have to admit that some of the pricing i have seen from Australian dealers on this lens is not greedy at all...the Nikon Australia price for this lens (to a retailer) is VERY HIGH. If someone is offering 3299 then it is a VERY good price as there is very little margin for the shop at that price. Cameron

Re: New Nikon 70-200 VRIII found this description from Nikon on what could be seen through the front of the lens. Just thought I'd share.
