I loved Venice. It's just so different to anywhere else.

Some nice shots, the water adds a surreal effect, but I think you are overdoing the zoom effect a little.

Unusual sight Wendell. I have only been once and I don't remember having to jump over puddles.

I am not digging those zooms though. Technically they are perfect and better than I can ever pull off!

Damn, that looks like night time - and I bet thats handheld as well...

I like the last two images, the additional patterns generated by the zooming add to the frame. The last one i really like but wish the stationary part of the image was the girls face rather then her midriff.

Yes the D3 can allow you to do ISO3200 with this amount of clarity.......

As much as I can understand your point on the slow shutter zoom effect Cam, I've got to say though, it's really damn creative. Who else would use the slow shutter zoom effect in these situations? There's no challenging "creative display" I mean, look at the last one, epic!

How the hell do you manage to not take touristy shots in a place as insanely beautiful as Venice!?

I'd love to see some more, but without the zooming. Handheld? crap...

I can't wait to go back again. Piazza San Marco was never that empty when I was there...

Most of the people don't show up in the night shots.

I took photos of that same square a month ago. It was packed! The photos however make it seem almost empty.

the zoom effect may not of been done properly because im not using a fill flash to capture detail during the motion
i just thought of doing something different since ive got volumes of technical shots of venice from my last 2 trips

actually about 80% of my images of venice this time around are all abstract overposed pan zoomed slow shutter effects

it wasnt so packed with people because it was taken after 8pm when the daytrippers leave, also not to mention the place was flooded

i used to live in venice and was lucky enough to work at the biennale in 2007.. st marks is super postcard but i like your view of it. post some shots of the architecture installations!
