I'd go for a touch more DOF and slightly less light to show more detail of the diamond. Otherwise love the concept and execution.

as mentioned above I'd go for slightly more DoF and perhaps rotated the ring slightly to the right. I'd also crop out that bright orange petal on the bottom right.

Posted: Tue Aug 16, 2011 10:00 pmI agree with both the DOF and close up comments above. I would also like to see the stone itself hit with quite a hard light so you get some sparkle off it. A Gobo would do the trick.
