now that's scary.....I know cats can look very similar but that is amazing.

I'm starting to really like the Sigma 70-300 APO II. Hopefully one day I will be lucky enough to join the 70-200VR group. And as for the D70, well does anything have to be said....???

Since you've asked for some constructive criticisms, here's what I would offer up;
Re: 1st Picture: IMO (in my opinion) the depth of field is a litte too shallow, unless that was your intent. The eyes are in focus, which is, of course, the most important thing, but almost everything in front and behind are pretty soft. I also find the color to be a little flat and monotone. I'm guessing the kitty's fur actually has a much richer, colorful appearance to it. Again, just my $0.02.
Hope that you accept these comments in the spirit with which they are intended. Your framing shows that you already know your way around Photoshop or other post processing program that you're using.
I look forward to seeing more of your shots.

Apart from this, I think Steve made some good comments but, overall, they were pretty good shots anyway.

I did unfortunately cut off the chin etc... in the original pic, so no amount of PP will fix that.
When I get some more time, I might try playing with the colours in PSCS and see if I can't make those pics a little better, as suggested.

I'm still working at making something out of nothing. I figure when I finally succeed, I can sell my D70 and just create the images from scratch in PSCS. Of the original 3, #2 does it for me... The clarity of the intense eyes looking across the frame is nicely done... Seems really sharp too. The first just misses the frame...
Of the two later ones the second with the stronger contrast grabs my eye first...
