I am not feeling that tree on the right and think that you should used a lower viewpoint to get rid of it

Intuitively though, I reckon the boy needs to face the moon
however i feel the nail gets a bit lost within teh frame, did you wrangle much light out of the foreground in the PP on this one

I like 3 but it needs some straightening

Inspired! #1 and #3 being the best, but they are all bloody clever use of the light and the subjects

Gave this one a bit more of a squeeze.. As you suggested, it looks better even with the colour cast from the sodium light
