Cinco de Mayo - emergency Meximeet

Postby gstark on Tue May 04, 2010 6:11 pm

Well, it seems that my weekly jam has been canceled tomorrow evening. Let's see if we can understand the business logic behind canceling a gig that regularly pulls in about 50 patrons into the pub, in favour of an occasional one that pulls in about half that number.

No? Neither can I.

Be that as it may, that means that I am free tomorrow evening, and just by coincidence, tomorrow is Cinco de Mayo, so I thought what better wa to celebrate the day than with an emergency Meximeet.

Do I have any takers? I'm thinking Beach Burrito Bar at Bondi, but I'm not wedded to that idea: Flying Fajita Sisters in Glebe could work too, as could Baja Cantina (also in Glebe), which I have yet to try.

Very sorry to hear that your gig got cancelled. Celebration of freedom?

I'm up for some Mexican!! Fajita Sisters and Baja Cantina would be preferable for me, I finish work down at Kent St at 5.30 so some time after that would be nice.

Well, let's do Baja Cantina then. Try something new.

I'll want to get home first, and then grab the car, so maybe about 7-ish?

Cinco de mayo: commemorating an important victory by the Mexican military.

Chillies. Tortillas. Margaritas.

Hell, I may even bring along a pocket mariachi band!

:)
