Sydney - Whale Spotting

Postby biggerry on Sun Jun 17, 2012 10:02 pm

purely a FYI thing, there are craploads of whales off teh coast of sydney (and presumably up and down teh coast) at the moment.

Suren and I saw a pod the other morning and they were quite close to the shore, i had a look today and there were heaps as well but much further out, i think they actually come closer when the tides are right (i think), anyway...

Love the 3rd photo (the one with the three people seemingly on the cliff's edge). Great colour and, sharp as and nicely composed. A great contrast to downtown Bankstown!

You'd need a very long pole to paint the spots.

I like all of them, though the first needed a larger telescopic lens. Now, the 3rd and fourth are tops! In my view.
