Sorry about that - Site Maintenance

Postby gstark on Thu Jan 27, 2022 12:06 pm

I moved the board to a different server, and found that a part of the new server's setup wasn't compatible with the board's software.

The problem though is that the version of the board's software that I'm using is very old, and it's that problem that I really need to be addressing. I will hopefully be doing that over the next few days, but that task does involve a number of challenges.

Thanks for your understanding, and your response. I was beginning to believe that everyone had packed up and gone home. :P

Or maybe joined Justin Langer.

Thanks. There have been a few challenges in that realm.

Short version is that for the last couple of years I've been getting mucous in my right eye, causing some vision issues. Lots of doctors' visits. Several mis-diagnoses. MRIs. PET scans. Bone marrow biopsies. Skin biopsies. Blood tests. Lots of blood tests. Full body scans. A couple of invasive procedures to try to get lymph node biopsies, but samples weren't good enough, so a very invasive mediastinoscopy to get that lymph node sample.

Diagnosis was Hodgkins Lymphoma, so four months of chemo (such fun), from which I am now recovering.

The frrightening part: I'm still having similar vision issues to what I've been having for the past two and a half years.

So my frustration levels are through the bloody roof. :surrender:

It's all still under active review, and I'm seeing two different eye doctors next week. I'm hopeful that we can better understand what the hell is going on here shortly.

Thanks, Tony.

I'm hopefully through the toughest parts, but it's frustrating that the original issue with the vision basically remains unfixed.

Beyond frustrating, truth be told.

Good luck with your health problems Gary. So much can depend on finding the right medico/specialist and sometimes you really need to shop around. Hope all goes well.
