MILK is EVIL

Postby gstark on Thu Jun 10, 2010 7:52 pm

Just remember where you saw it first ...

As you know, everyone has been struggling to find an acronym for the new breed of cameras like the Olympus Pen - those cameras where they're using replaceable single lens technology, but without the mirrorbox assembly.

While EVIL has been used, nobody has been all that happy with it.

Last Sunday evening, on the Gadget Grill, we came up with a new acronym: MILK.

Mirrorless Interchangeable Lens Camera, but Leigh has decided, and many are agreeing, that just because we can, it's going to be "Kamera". And we're already starting to see a couple of local tech sites starting to use this new name.

So there you have it: MILK is the new EVIL.

Milk it for what it's worth.

I was at the Sony launch of the NEX3 and NEX5 last night...and they had another acronym...as a testament of its effectiveness....I cant remember it.

I like the build, but it is ergonomically challenged and the menu system is worse!

Chris,

Since when have I ever made any sense? BTW, if we don't like any particular camera, it becomes a milkdud.

ILDC? :rotfl2:
I reckon that will be as popular as the mini-disc player.
