Stay safe and healthy

Postby gstark on Sat Dec 25, 2010 8:03 am

All,

It's that time of the year again: time when we get to spend time with our families and friends, when we wish good will to others, and when we can generally get to take a little break from our more usual, our more hectic, our increasingly busy lives.

I'll be wandering over to Leigh's later today, and having dinner with him, along with his girlfriend, Michael and his girlfriend, plus a few other friends. Leigh will be doing the cooking (!), and he has an AR Drone on loan from Parrot for the holidays, so there is sure to be a measure of mayhem.

What are you plans for the day? How will you be enjoying your Christmas 2010?

And what are your plans for NYE?

Most importantly, drive carefully, don't over-indulge, and stay safe.

Best wishes for a happy safe and healthy Christmas, and a wonderful new year.

Spending it with Mum, as she likes her hot turkey for lunch, especially cooked in the Weber, along with roast vegetables from the oven and then followed by pudding with brandy custard and icecream.

I will collect her at about 11am and return her to the Residential Care facility about 4pm...pretty well exhausted, but enjoys the day greatly. And that is what it is all about.

Unsure about NYE at this stage.

Merry Christmas and my best wishes to all for the new year. Thank you forthe technical support when I needed it. I have not been very activ lately, I'll try and improve on that.
My daughter and grand daughter are in France for Christmas, my son is working, my wife and myself are on call, so not much celebration, only some foie gras and Champagne... and lobster, and prawns, and christmas cake :D :D
Cheers,
Gerard

Best wishes Gary, Leigh and the rest of the forum members.

I don't plan much for Christmas. We are helping my mother-in-law recover from a hip replacement just two weeks ago. She is doing well, so that's all we needed for Christmas. NYE will be the same as she doesn't go back to her residence till after the new year.

I basically hope to find some time to start the processing on my Antarctica photos over the next few days and I'll be happy.

All the best and make sure all of you spend some good quality time with your loved ones, even if that is over the phone/skype/etc

Merry Xmas Gary, Leigh, Mods and key members and all forum members. Have a great holiday and keep yourselves safe. Use your cameras to capture the joy of your families as they share your company. The first role of a camera is to capture memories...the second role is to create art....third role is to create advertising imagery for toilet paper and other stuff.

We don't even have a fire.

Seriously, happy Christmas to all in Dslrusers land. Keep safe on the maniacal roads. Watch out for all the Queenslanders who infest the NSW north coast this time every year!:-)

Enjoy the prawns and especially the oysters.

Ashes is right. The Oz team's efforts seems to comprise mostly burnt offerings
