Ads removed.

Postby gstark on Mon Feb 16, 2015 8:57 pm

In response to an email from our advertising content supplier, complaining that some pages might contain NSFW content, and thereby be in breach of their advertising policies, I've removed all advertising from the site.

Please give me any links that you come across that still have advertising, so that I may address the relevant pages.

I'm biting my tongue here ... :)

To me, it's an indicator of just how brainless some of these larger organisations have become. There's noone you can appeal to, noone you can refer this to; just do it or we'll remove your ads.

Given that the income (for want of a better term) is less than 1/10 of the cost of running my sites, I gave it careful consideration, and came to the conclusion that these dickheads are unworthy of my time.

As I said, I'm biting my tongue in terms of what I can actually say.
