Scott... You seem to have included the theme shot near the bottom of page 1 - there are still 92 items though, which means that one of the others may be missing...???
Cheers, John

Thanks Scott,
great job on running the comps, very smoothly Did a search, but didn't really find my answer. Questions on voting: -now that we have 92 entries, what is the recommended way of voting? Looked in past threads and it was recommended then that one should vote/rate each image. Is that still the way to go? -what do you use to calculate the score for each image? Just interested Well done everyone for submissions, makes it very hard to vote, good that we have a few weeks. André
score=sum_of_votes/number_of_votes
Not voting for an image is the equivelent of giving it the same vote as its current average... I would like people to vote for every image... you have a while to do it and they all are very nice images New page

Katie and I have voted for all the images, I think it took 10-15 minutes, but I think it's worth it!
Scott - I can only echo what has been said before!
You have done brilliantly despite having all that you do on your plate! Well done and thank you! Geoff
Special Moments Photography Nikon D700, 50mm 1.4, 85mm 1.4, 70-200 2.8VR, SB800 & some simple studio stuff.
Unlike federal elections, voting is not compulsary
If I had my way .... We now have ~ 30 votes per image... only 0.13 points separates 1st and second!!!!!!!! EVERY VOTE COUNTS!!! (I should get to the additional registration requests today...) vote vote vote vote vote! New page

Scott, if there are 30 votes so far, how many people entered on both section 1 and 2? This way we may get an idea about how many have not voted.
HB
Heath everyone can vote, not just those who have entered the comp, so there are 1444 potential voters.

I didn't know you could leave comments already... cool.
Can you tell use the difference currently between first and last place ?
I'm not sure .... That would be bit too much. Vote for 91 images isn't easy task at all but leave comments for them .... That needs too much of time Mikhail

Get up early one hour and go to bed one hour later, in three days you'll complete the taks. Birddog114

That's what I'm doing everyday! My average sleep is 5, at most 6 hours. Cut 2 hours of this will be certainly too much! Mikhail

Errr... Scott... What am I doing wrong... I'm logged in to potofgrass, and looking at the Vote Gallery, but I can't see any way of adding comments. All I can see is the little box saying Email me when comments are added... Cheers, John

This is the first time I've entered/voted so I assumed the comment field might come up later. I did look for it however and noticed that it wasn't there.
I assumed scott was getting it has he is admin, while the standard users still don't have the option yet...?
I want to set it up so people can add comments but not read them yet...
In the past people have commented that it would be good to add comments as they voted as it is fresh in their minds... New page

No... just the screen should refresh though... just wait until the hour-glass disappears and you should be right... When you go back to the page with the thumbnails, you can always check that your votes have registered correctly... Cheers, John

When I go back to that thumbnail page, I still see the drop down boxes, is that normal?
Yep, but they should all match what you voted... Cheers, John

Some great entries - a pleasure to vote!
I've chosen my pick for the most stunning mix of art and science! The winning photographer wins a (hopefully!) return photographic flight around Sydney on Air Thaddeus.* * Weight restrictions apply on all Air Thaddeus flights. If the winner weighs more than Leek, they'll need to nominate someone lighter. Air Thaddeus has a no-smoking policy and reminds male travellers that they may be seated next to unaccompanied minors. Air Thaddeus reserves the right to get the sh1ts if the winner keeps changing their minds as to what dates they are available to go.
Very Generous of you thaddeus, I'm sure the lucky winner will really enjoy the flight, I take it they will be allow to take their camera onboard ?
Edit : photographic flight....... derrr! Last edited by Alpha_7 on Sat Dec 03, 2005 11:13 pm, edited 1 time in total.
Phew! just spent an age on deciding on these fine images.
So much choice and depth, but had to keep reminding myself of the challenge theme to keep me on track! All's good, well done to all those that entered! 7 days until we find out the winner! best of luck to everyone! Nikon F80D, FM2n

Brilliant!
Each image now has between 40-50 votes.... The top 10 is a tight affair indeed, but I think that was always going to be the case with such brilliant images entered... As the comp draws to a close I must say it is a joy scrolling through the entries for this comp and the past comps and seeing the material that the friendly competition and comradeship of this site has generated! And congrats to Radar for picking such a good theme! New page
