Tough Mudder 2012

Postby biggerry on Fri Sep 28, 2012 9:44 am

I had the pleasure, if one could call it that, of attending the 2012 Sydney Tough Mudder, for those unaware, think of... marathon (20km) run with the intermittent, no lets say pretty constant obstacles and of course the plethora of mud. My sister entered and successfully completed all but one of the obstacles (the last skate board style ramp), a feat certainly better that what I could do :)

A few of the up close and personal images from the day

you have already seen this one from the start :) they all looked so keen and clean :)

Image

meh, that one was not hard..

Image

its only a little bit of mud

Image

done well here..sunnies still relatively clean..

Image

yep, you fighting a losing battle with that luv.

Image

its all about technique...
Image

a proud team moment, about half way round

Image

the walls are a killer, specially if you are not tall...

Image

now, not the most elegant way to achieve the result, but damn, this girl went over this way (by herself) fastener that most of the blokes.

Image

of course we can't forget teh start of the first 10,000 volt obstacle and yep, those wires are live and rest assured they hurt when you get zapped.

Image

fire walk...i think teh fire fighters had a good chuckle all day long...

Image

Image

and the real killer, second last obstacle, rubber sheets on a skate board ramp...mixed with mud and water

lol, i am just trying to find a way I can get in on this action, i mean, there has to be some good dough in getting 30k people to run thru mud and shit and getting them to pay 150 bucks for it :)
