With the car division doing so badly.....The optical division has to "chip" with some cash I guess. Though I think Nikon value to the group overall is petty cash  PS.. Nikon belongs to "Family of Mitsubshi Group of Companies" taht is how they say not me.

Nikon is only one of the few (I think about ten) that has a name not associated with Mitsubishi

Car, Bank, Insurance, Oil, minerals, Electronics,.....Name it and they are in it.....

I think it is the world largest Conglomerate by a long short.....

They better release a few top models if they want to sell them I only see one model at the top, the D2X. D70 sells well but is entry level. Love the spin doctors
