rain cover(prototype 1.1) for my d70 for less than 10$?

well i decided to design my own raincover for my d70 using first cloth which i found to be waterproof but to soft.
started to use plastic vinyl as a material and an idea which i remember from a james bond movie.

heres the finished product, extremely rigid, velcro straps to seal. the bottom holes made for the tripod leg and side flaps for the focuing which can be lifted.
although its a bit to short to cover the hood a newer version will be done soon

Redline - looks good but be wary of condensation in humid, wet weather.

Redline very impressive and innovative, all for less than $10. A lot better than nothing in rain or drizzle.
ps I note the rain protection idea came from a Melbournian

yeah, your never too sure what happens here, always prepare for the worst i say. good thing too is that it fold up neatly into a bundle about the size of a nokia 3310.
but not sure if humidity is a problem here in vic, sirhc55.

Well done, Redline. Now get to work in the spirit of free enterprise: set up a sweatshop, market it on eBay and make a fortune out of it

That beer looks quite cloudy, even for a Coopers. in fact it looks a bit on the green side. Is it St. Patricks day yet?
As for the raincoat for the camera, i reckon it's brilliant. Well done for such a professional looking accessory.

Now you just need to sell them at 30-40 bucks each at the Grand Prix where it always rains and you'll be in the bucks.

				Another junkie here birddog,
Could you let me know the price, when you might have some more and wether that is a single lens size (if so what is the biggest lens it is good for?)
Nothing better than shooting in the rain -

no harsh shadows and nice even lighting

Your link to the image was wrong (it pointed to the randomly selected image list) At the time you posted it worked, but the random images have changed (currently the link shows you a Guinness can which is kinda cute since you say "you need one of these")
Anyways, the real link is

				thats nice birddog,
however, i decided to use clear vinly and focusing holes which would allow the user to see outside the camera and focus if needed.
i'll also try to adapt space for an on board flash/pw.

I saw it nice but it may be not good in humidity and wet, cos the zip bag is not "vapourware", could be the cause for lens fungu diseases after, unless you may install an exshaust fan into the bag, it'll suck out all the humidity.

yeah my pic is a little deceiving, its not entirly sealed up the rear where the camera is competely open and there a few holes on the side of the lenses. but again it is a prototype and real world tests are needed, it may not enev be waterproof. however there was plenty of rain in the past few days to test:)
again thankyou for you comments birddog it helps to get input from different ppl.
