New Nikon PHDs announced.

Postby gstark on Wed Feb 09, 2011 12:53 pm

But I won't actually put up the press releases just yet.

But they've announced new models in a number of different realms, ranging from the sub $100 P23 to the price TBA P500, featuring a 36x optical zoom.

The P300 features a maximum aperture of f/1.8, and other models include features like "Pet Portrait mode (new!): When a dog or cat faces the camera, the camera detects the face, focuses on it and then releases the shutter, all automatically." and an easy panaroma mode.

Gerry, I can see your hand's already up for a S9100. :)

I see where your coming from....maybe they are attempting to hammer price point...it seems more like a competitor to an IXUS 300HS (and its replacement)

In a world with lx5's, xz1's, s95's, x100's et all, (and lets not even get started on evil), this is what the mighty nikon corporation can churn out. And its not the first time as we all know. They are so crap that they even pretty much copied the g12 inch by inch and still screwed it up.
