Hi, The BBC Wildlife Photographer of the Year 2007 is on at the Australian Museum in Sydney. It's on till 16 Mar 2008. Admission to the Australian Museum is $10. I've seen the last few years, always a great exhibition. http://www.austmus.gov.au/visiting/whatson/display.cfm?event_id=278If you want to know more about the competition or can't make it to the exhibition, the official site: http://www.nhm.ac.uk/visit-us/whats-on/temporary-exhibitions/wpy/onlineGallery.doGood thing to do when the rain keeps coming down in Sydney Cheers, André

Thanks for the reminder, I virtually work next door, but I haven't been there for years. I picked up a flyer the other day and plumb forgot. I will have to make a point of it. Cheers

have to keep an eye out for it when it comes over this way.
Always astounded by the talent in the 'Young Photographers' section. Just amazing.

Thanks Andre - I'll be back down at the end of January and will try to score an early mark from work one day to scoot along and have a look!

Hi,
just a reminder that the exhibition is now in Newcastle till July 26 at the Lovett Gallery at the Newcastle Regional Library on Laman Street.
I visited it on Saturday, great exhibition to see, don't miss it if you are in Newcastle.
Cheers,
André

Thanx Rel and Cameron. This lowlife has joined the forum twice in the last two weeks, and with this morning's userID posted two spam messages. I suspect that in trying to post more spam they overloaded the SQL server, which took the site down: the overloaded SQL server caused too many running processes on the apache server; that seemed to happen at about the same time, and that is why the site was down for about 90 minutes today: I was traveling at the time, and wasn't aware of the issue until I got home at midday. This piece of crap used the same IP address for both logins, and that whole subnet is now toast as far as I'm concerned. Let them rot in hell.

A few weeks ago I had a couple of "PMs" from forums I hadn't been to for months and they turned out to be scammers like these. I presume they are mostly robots doing this. Just looking at the last couple of pages of the members list - looks like it's a more common occurrence than I thought. That's got to be a major PITA for Gary and the moderators.
