Happy Gnu EarsOr some such thing.
From everyone here at DSLRUsers, I hope that your celebrations will be safe and happy, and that 2010 will be better for you than 2009. What plans have all y'all made for the night? Post your plans here. I want to see whose party will be the one worth crashing! Did I mention that St Nik(on) sent us a D300s for review this afternoon? g.

Re: Happy Gnu EarsThe hippy knew Yir and other things to everyone.
We're having a quite night at home. We probably wouldn't even stay up until midnight except that our dogs are afraid of fireworks so we have to sit with them until the last of the fireworks finish at around 12:30am. I really hope there are no Queenslanders in the area tonight.

Re: Happy Gnu EarsFeliz ano nuevo.
Having some friends over for a bottle of Louis Roederer, a couple of BBQ lamb racks (assuming weather holds out), and peripheral food and drinks. Hopefully 2010 will allow me to make more time to take, process and post photos than occurred in 2009. Regards, Patrick

Re: Happy Gnu EarsWas planning on heading into the city and shoot the fireworks (did a shocking job last year) but it's 41 today and it's really difficult to think of mixing it with thousand of others ...most likely a glass of wine, a dip in the pool ,and watch an old movie (thanks Fozzie for the hint) - be lucky to make it to 12 at this stage ..

Re: Happy Gnu EarsHappy New Year to all!
The closest I'll get to fireworks tonight will be watching them on TV - we're having a dinner party with a few friends, Indian theme, I'll be in the kitchen for the rest of the afternoon cooking a curry Cheers What's another word for "thesaurus"?

Re: Happy Gnu EarsHappy New Year Gary & Leigh and all the forum members! Congratulations on another great year for the forum and some fantastic photography. Perhaps the focus for 2010 is to get some of this imagery seen by a wider audience....perhaps in the form of a gallery exhibition? Let's throw some ideas around next year.
Regards

Re: Happy Gnu EarsThank you Gary.
Went to bed at approx. 1:30am today and up at 6:40am Celebrated with a total of 2 x Scotch and Soda with ice around midnight at home, so feeling fine this morning. Might even go out and shoot some frames during the course of the day. fozzie

Re: Happy Gnu EarsHappy New Year one and all.
I have been up for over 90 minutes. I just got home from a 3.8km run. I went to bed at 12:30am after sharing 2 bottles of wine with my wife over the course of the night. We watched the Top Gear boys drive across Bolivia and Chile and then we watched "The Boat That Rocked". As soon as most of the local fireworks died down (and Harry was feeling a little calmer) we went to bed.
Re: Happy Gnu EarsHappy New Year everyone!
Hope it's a successful, healthy and happy 2010! I do like Matt K's idea of a gallery showcasing some of our members work!! Geoff

Re: Happy Gnu EarsHappy New Year to everyone, Marcus and I hit the hay about 2.30 this morning and were on the move home by 8.30. Since then I have been out Campbeltown way and back. Hope everyone drank wisely last night and do not have the pleasure of beginning the year with a spectacular headache as many of the ppl around us last night looked like having.

Spent the evening camping with a mate, and the last two days hiking up and down some interesting hills. I also like the idea of some gallery hangings. Regards Colin

Re: Happy Gnu EarsThe odea of showcasing some of our members' work has always appealed to me, but we have a few issues to deal with.
1: Printing of the images 2: Framing/mounting/presentation. 3: Where I think we should tackle the these in a new thread, starting with the Where. g.
